A friend indeed is a friend in need. Rings a bell? I was a little bit upset yesterday. This is what happened.

I plan to pursue my master in linguistics in UI and it seems that my office would facilitate it. Yesterday I went to Salemba to hand in the form. Taking one day off from my office, I took the 8.30 train to Cikini and then bajaj to Salemba. I went gracefully to the building that my friend told me the other day.

Someone there said to me that I should go to another building a couple blocks behind this building. Guess what? Right after this officer told me about it, I recalled someone who told me where I should hand in the form. Why should she tell me this if she knew exactly where the place is? It’s totally impossible that she did not know the place. FYI: she got her master not long ago from UI!!!! It’s no big deal actually as eventually I found the place. I can make use of my mouth to ask and my eyes to read!!!

Actually this is the third time she did something annoying concerning my study.

Last few years (even last few weeks) when I said to her that I‘d better take my master in UI, she kept on telling me that there is NO such program in UI. I was so annoyed as some friends of mine from UNDIP got their masters in linguistics from this reputable university. So, there IS linguistic department.!!

Then, she told me that UI will put the limit on the number of their students may enroll this program. Again, I didn’t buy it. I assure myself that if I pass the test, so what???
Why? I can’t figure out any possible answers for this.
